Burns’ Wedding

This was a beautiful weekend for Team Church, especially because of Gareth and Jessica’s wedding. Jessica was involved with the core group that launched Team Church in Kershaw, and Gareth served this new church plant because he was already a part of the church that launched us in Matthews, NC. A curious thing happened…Gareth kept coming back to Kershaw, even when he wasn’t playing the drums! It wasn’t too long before we all started calling them by their pet names for each other!

So many wonderful things have happened in my life because of Team Church, but I really love the idea that we got to see how these two found each other through this church planting process. What a blessing! We are just so thrilled for them, and wish them the best.

Scott and I performed the ceremony on Saturday. It was such a God-honoring and sweet service. One thing that Scott said was that this couple really prepared for their marriage. Most couples may put a lot of planning in the ceremony on their wedding day, but rare is the couple that prepares more for the marriage. Congratulations to Gareth and Jessica!
